Studio Blog: Sleigh Ride in Bora Bora

After hearing numerous mediocre and well worn out Christmas tunes around the holiday, we decided it was time to create something new and fresh. It was time for a sleigh ride…in Bora Bora!

We recently had the pleasure of recording a new holiday song written by our friends Melissa Axel and James Jacoby. Melissa sang, James rocked the tuba, and they were joined by some amazing musicians at the session:

Scott Aller – Drums/Percussion

Aaron Johnson (Ukulele Loki) – Ukulele

Aaron Keim – Weissenborn

Kailin Yong – Violin and Piano

We had a blast recording this tune – make sure you check out the video!  We’ll be mixing this soon so be on the lookout for the finished version…

-Dave

Thanks for inviting me along. I had a swell time at the Hook Factory. Y’all got more hooks than a tackle box. And James really got the whole idea there at the end, with the dancing.

Great VID about putting Bora Bora together. You guys are funny and obviously way talented. Thanks for your work the other night at CPR, Justin!

Got something to say?
